Crystal stands as one of the primary genies bound to Demitri, defined by her curiosity, kindness, grace, and unwavering obedience. Her smile softens his world, offering warmth he didn’t know he needed. But beneath that serene exterior rests a sorrow she has carried alone for centuries.
I had to redo page 39; sadly, I overwrote it with page 40, so there is no turning back to undo. I hope I got this spelling right, but I wanted a nice Arabic title. It will be tricky figuring out how this new story and lore will take place, but I’ll be gaining a lot of motivation and inspiration from others in my genie Discord group.
This page relies heavily on a lot of classic anime tropes, but it means a great deal to me personally. The things I want most in life often feel like they only exist in dreams, never in reality. There are times I still hold onto the hope that someday I’ll find someone special. I hope to open up to that person and show how I truly feel.
To stand transfixed before absolute beauty is to forget the weight of one’s own body. Yet awe, for all its splendor, acts as a velvet anesthetic, it numbs us to our physical frailties while we linger in the sublime. If we do not step back to anchor ourselves and check our health, the very wonder that elevated the spirit will quietly exact a massive toll upon the flesh.
An immature mind versus the immeasurable weight of the heart. There are two ways to look at what’s in front of you. Yet, it’s hard to break free from a hypnotic curse where beauty completely eclipses wisdom. Demitri admits the raw attraction in his mind, but beneath it lies fear. He hesitates because he knows that beauty unmasked, can easily become another person’s undoing when confidence isn’t there to back it up. A little design detail for this piece: While her tail traditionally carries a rich blue tint, Crystal is currently sporting a much paler shade here. Having just woken up from years of deep slumber, her body hasn’t fully adjusted to the open air yet. Give her some time outside, and exposure to the elements will slowly cause the tail to oxidize and transition back to its usual colors.
Thus ends Chapter 1: The Wishmaker. I know releasing this many pages in a single day might seem like a lot, but today felt like the perfect moment almost as if the timing itself carried a little magic. The number 3, echoing the wishes cast, and 8, looping into the symbol of infinity, felt like a quiet sign that this was the right day to let Crystal awaken at last. Thank you for experiencing this beginning with me. The journey only grows deeper from here.
Demitri is finally seeing the truth with his own eye. The truth that’s been shimmering beneath every strange moment leading up to this. And now, before him, Crystal begins to awaken from her long, silent slumber. This is the first breath of her true form, the moment where wonder eclipses fear, and destiny quietly unfolds between them.
Creating and photomanipulating a genie of the bottle in a form of particles was tough and hard. I had to combined various stock images of smoke to create this. Now you can do it with a simple gesture or prompt and it generates for you. You can also do this via action script but now AI has robbed it and made it much simpler!
A showpiece item is the kind of piece that instantly catches a customer’s eye. I get all sorts of reactions when they ask about the price — surprise, curiosity, or sometimes a whole conversation about the craft behind it. Even when they end up choosing something within their budget, those moments remind me that I’m not alone in what I enjoy. It’s comforting to see people connect with the same things that make me smile.
