I dedicate this fan art piece to a wonderful friend I lost during the World Trade Center attacks. We both shared a deep fondness for I Dream of Jeannie and Eden from the Aladdin animated series. Back then, we only had two genie-themed games: Barbie: Magic Genie Adventure on GameBoy Color and the I Dream of Jeannie computer diskettes from Trendmasters.
I had promised her a beautiful genie artwork, and she paid me in advance for her very own genie OC. Sadly, I never got the chance to fulfill that request for her.
This is Shantae as Star Sapphire, trapped inside a her very own ring. Granted we are all adults here, she had this fascination with boris vallejo and love to cosplay as one of those girls as a genie. She would have loved this series if she were here today.
September 11th is always such a difficult day, and moving on is never easy. I dedicate this art to her memory.
